Writing about the adventure of being human

I am a freelance journalist and author focusing on psychological research, profiles of scientists and scholars, and the ways we navigate our inner and outer worlds. My work has appeared in Psychologie Heute (Germany), Neue Zürcher Zeitung am Sonntag (Switzerland), and Scientific American Mind (US), among others. I have written a biography, a work of narrative nonfiction, and a collection of profiles. My home-base is mostly Berkeley, California, and sometimes Cologne, Germany.
